Meet Susie
Susie is a lifelong educator who brings her skills and experience to Saint Louis Park, where she lives with her husband, Gabe, and two daughters, Ali and Evie, as well as their rescue dog, Lexi.
For 13 years, Susie was a middle and high school teacher and administrator in New York City, primarily working with students with learning differences.
After moving to Saint Louis Park in 2015, Susie became a leader in the gun violence prevention movement, and most recently served for two years as the Minnesota State Lead of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
Susie is an active member of the Saint Louis Park Schools community. She volunteers with the Parent Teacher Organization at Park Spanish Immersion and with the Site Council at the Middle School, and is a Girls on the Run Coach at PSI. She serves on the Saint Louis Park District Instructional Programs Advisory Council and was a member of the district’s new strategic plan committee.
Susie is also active in the Jewish community, where she serves on the board of the Jewish Community Relations Council and in an advocacy advisory role for the National Council of Jewish Women. She is the former chair of the Mount Sinai Community Foundation, a giving circle that annually provides grants to non-profit organizations in the Twin Cities.
